    considered a geek at school, aside from his brilliant academic performance, was the thick glasses that he wore. As well, because of his insecurity, he slumped a little and had an unsure, awkward gait. But Susan knew that he was a compassionate, caring person - and she loved him for that. Susan was the exact opposite of Jim. She was beautiful. Jim was always amazed that she could be his stepsister. Where he was plain and uninteresting, Susan sparkled and glowed. Lately, she had begun to transform. Her hips had rounded and filled out and her breasts had begun to mature. She was still coltish, but she was definitely becoming a woman. She had long red hair and bright green eyes, and her skin was flawless 'peaches and cream'. Her features were soft, refined and perfectly balanced. In Jim's mind, she was perfect. The two youngsters were very close. Susan had moved in with the Parsons when her mother married Jim's father a short while ago. Now, they were not just stepbrother and stepsister, but 'best friends'. They enjoyed talking together and shared all of their secret hopes and fears. It was Susan's friendship and understanding that kept Jim from being constantly depressed about his social awkwardness and his self-perceived plainness. Actually, Susan was easily as intelligent as her stepbrother Jim, and despite her 'cheerleader' good looks, had a great deal of difficulty relating to her schoolmates. They both hated social media, avoided school social events, and looked to the other for comfort and relief from a world that they neither liked, nor understood. Jim flopped down on the couch and put the glasses on the reading table in front of them. He placed one in front of his stepsister, and the other in front of himself, and then he filled them both to the brim with red wine. The TV was telling them that there was one minute until show time . Jim picked up his wine glass and held it towards Susan. "Well, here's to our night of new experiences." He took a big swallow from the glass of wine, half emptying it in one gulp. Susan picked up her glass returned his salute, and drained half of her glass. She screwed her face up and shivered slightly. "Whew, that taste is harsh, but it feels nice and warm in my stomach." The TV suddenly flashed to life. A picture of a pretty teenage girl in a cotton dress appeared with the words "Forbidden Love" scrawled over her in bright red print. A collage of five pretty girls followed with their names written below their pictures and then the credits faded and the first scene displayed.
