this,” Renee held out the dress for her. Allana took it from her and changed into it. She was a little nervous to be wearing something that short and kind of revealing but decided that she should. She put that on and dug out a pair of black booties with a thin heel. She brushed on some makeup and made smokey eyes to accent her rich brown eyes. Renee had brighter eye makeup on to highlight her blue eyes which matched her dress. Together they walked out into the hall and drove to the address. After twenty minutes, they got there and all along the road, cars were parked. “Big party,” Allana murmured to herself. They walked in together and had to push through a thick crowd of people. Renee had to grab Allana’s arm and pull her through to where her boyfriend was. Finally they got to another room that was much quieter. “Allana this is my boyfriend, Zach. Zach, this is Allana,” Renee said pointing them both out. They both smiled politely at each other. Then Allana saw someone walk up behind Zach and saw that it was Wes. “Hey, Allana, I didn’t know that you were coming,” Wes said with a smile. “I didn’t know either. She looked up at him and saw him looking intently down at her. His bright blue eyes, were unusually darkened and she knew that it wasn’t just the poor lighting. Her breath caught in her throat and she felt her body tingle in places that caused her to breathe heavier. Then the song ended and some people got off of the dance floor. Wes cleared his throat. “Would you like a drink?” he asked. Allana nodded. “Please, if you don’t mind,” she said. Then he walked off gracefully going through the crowd as they started to dance again. She took a deep breath and was just releasing it slowly when she heard Renee. “What was that?” she asked looking at her and where Wes could be seen standing above the crowd. “What?” Allana answered trying to be innocent. Renee raised a perfectly arched brow. “How could you even say that?! I saw what was happening with you and Prince Charming,” Renee insisted. “Fine,” Allana said, “I guess we kind of got into it when we were dancing. But nothing more than that. Just some heated staring.” Renee whispered, “For now,” and walked away just as Wes came bearing gifts. “Your drink, m’lady,” he said with a smile. “Thank you,” Allana laughed. She took ...
