dream boy for any girl. But the last thing she said made me feel like I really was special. I felt a lot better just knowing that she felt that way about me. We completed our dinner and I helped her to clean up the kitchen. I was so relieved to know that she was not mad at me. I didn’t expect Jessica to be so open minded and sweet. After helping her, I went to my room to complete my English assignment. I had been busy working on it for awhile and it was almost completed, when I heard a knock on the door. "Come on in." "I hope I am not disturbing my sweet pie." "No, not at all," I said to her in a reassuring tone. She entered my room and closed the door behind her. "So what are you doing?," She asked, glancing over my shoulder. "Nothing intresting. I am trying to complete my English assignment and that’s never much fun," I replied, grinning up at her. "Well I was getting bored. So I thought I’d come and see you for some company. Hope you have some time for your sister." "I have plenty of time for you Sis,” I said as I put aside the books. "Please don't call me sis. Call me Jessica or Jess, ok ? "Ok". I don't know why she wanted to call her by her name but at the point of time it didn't matter to me. "Sorry if I didn't spend enough time with you," She apologized. "I am sorry too," I said as I held her hand. "Let's make up for the lost time." "What do you mean?," She asked with a puzzled look on her face. From the way I’d acted this morning at the mall, maybe she was suspicious that I might be thinking of or hinting at something entirely different then the lost time we hadn’t gotten to know each other when we were growing up. "Let's promise each that we will meet at least once in a week, no matter how busy we are." "I promise," She eagerly replied. We smiled at each other because I think that we both realized that for the first time in our lives, we were starting to get acquainted. I was really glad that we were getting to know each other, thanks to my accident. A few hours ago, I was cursing my bad luck because of my mom's decision. But after the talk we had just now had, my happiness was raising to new heights. "Jess, can I ask you something?" There was one thing that I was curious about, and I was now feeling so much more comfortable around her that I felt I could ask anything. "Sure." "Do you have a boyfriend?" "Well I had a few in the past, but at the present time, I am single," She said. "What about you?" "I already told you, didn't I?," I said raising my eyebrow. "You didn't say anything about having ...
