    it with no disrespect and I took advantage of the situation to say “ please, call me Jim.”. She repeated my name like it was a foreign name and then said “Ok….Jim!” “Nice to meet ya’ll!” Her teeth were straight and bright as she smiled and put out her hand in a gesture to shake hands with me. I took her small dainty hand in mind and kissed the tops of her fingers. “The pleasure is certainly mine…miss ?....” . “ She laughed and said “ OH MA GAWD!....M’name is Megan!” and she laughed her little laugh. We talked about where I was from and what I was doing in town and she told me how she is in college and what she was studying and I found myself listening intently to her stories about her friends, her college classes, her teachers. After another round, the music suddenly slowed down and a slow country song came on as a request for a couple that was celebrating their honeymoon. The DJ said we don’t normally do this but it’s a special song for a special couple and on and on and suggested for everyone to grab their partner and mosey on out to the dance floor to honor the couple. Still smiling from the sentimental idea, I looked at Megan and asked her if she would do me the honor. She did a little curtsy and said she would be happy to.
