I don’t try to do this yet because my entire body is still quivering! I sit there quietly not knowing what to say. He breaks the silence for me, “I’m glad we checked that before you left, but I think everything is fine, just fine.” I am shocked, satisfied and bewildered. What the hell just happened??? He picks up my chart and walks towards the door. He reaches for the knob and I realize what the odd sound was earlier. He unlocks the door and leaves the exam room. The door shuts behind him and I hear the nurse in the hallway call out, “Mrs. Katzenberg, Dr. Johnson can see you now.”
