    she'd already hung up the phone. Julie hadn't ditched her friends of course; she wanted to show off her new boyfriend. She was probably the only girl in seventh grade to have one, but maybe not. Either way, I suddenly found myself being introduced to her best friends, Lisa and Angie, as Julie's fifteen year old boyfriend and this wasn't going to be much of a secret for very long, a blind man could see that. I'd met those two girls before, or seen them around, I should say. Once in awhile they'd be over at Julie's house while I was hanging out with Randy, but we'd never spoken or anything like that. They were just little girls, or so I'd thought before, but with my new perspective on things...It was hard not to look at any girl and not imagine what she'd look like with a big, swollen belly. Angie was the tallest of the three, kind of a willowy blonde girl and thirteen like her two friends.
