Sweltering Heat

While it was a particularly hot summer morning in Florida, it seemed even hotter inside. Renee finally realized that the air conditioner was out and, on a scorcher like that day was going to be, something had to be done. The air conditioner was running full blast, but it was only pushing hot air. With her husband out of town on work, she decided to call for a repair man. This made her slightly uncomfortable, thinking that a strange man would need to enter her house. What other option did she have though, other than to just sit in the sweltering heat? Making the phone call, she was told an AC technician would be there shortly. While she waited, she decided to change out of white tank top and pajama bottoms into a more presentable t-shirt and short skirt. The outfit was a tad on the youthful side but relaxed enough that the forty year old felt comfortable despite the heat. While turning on the ceiling fans in the house, Renee decided to open a few windows to allow the air to circulate. Waiting for the repair man, she finally turned off the AC. It was only blowing hot air anyway. Finally, the knock at the door she had desperately been waiting for. As Renee made her way to the frosted glass door, she could see that there were two men. She was already apprehensive about letting a man into her house, but two really made her uncomfortable. With the way the summer was going though, this repair couldn't wait.
