weekend.” Vince rolled his eyes as Alex and Ken broke out into grins. “I don’t understand your obsession with my lovelife, Zee. I don’t need a concerted effort on your part to …” Alex and Ken interrupted him in unison. “Yes, you do.” Zee smiled, and then put on his serious face. “Look, Vince, I’m not asking you to do anything you don’t want to. You were already planning to go to the party tomorrow, yeah?” He nodded, reluctantly. “Yeah, I was going to go with my Boba Fett …” he didn’t get any further due to the loud booing from all three of his friends. Zee quieted down his friends as Vince sat back, his arms crossed in annoyance. “Vince, you always go too big with that stuff. You’re going in looking to meet up with a girl, right? He worked out, a lot, played through the last few hours of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and tried to ignore the increasingly lurid teasing heaped on him by Eve. By the time he needed to go pick up Madison, his whole body was on edge. Since his rebirthday, he was entirely sure this was as nervous as he’d been. To calm himself down, he’d thrown on a big comfy black hoodie with the Serenity symbol on the back and a pair of black sweat pants. The weather was glorious, in the high 60s, as he zipped the few miles over to Madison’s neighborhood. Tonight was even more of a stealth ...
