    a Cheshire Cat whenever I tried to pump her for information. Finally it was time and my parents sat me down in the f****y room. They brought in some cards and boxes that people had brought to the party which I dutifully opened. Most of them had money in the cards – the perfect present for a new graduate to be honest. The rest were mostly gag gifts for a graduate that were cute, but I knew they would soon be on the curb. Finally it was time for my parent's gift – at least so I assumed since there was nothing left to open and they hadn't given me anything yet. I guess you could say a four year degree for free was quite a present already but I knew they would have something extra special for me – they always did! &#034We have to go get your present now,&#034 my dad said with an air of mystery. Hmm, what could it be that we had to drive somewhere for it? We all piled in the SUV and drove to the south side of town where he turned into a car dealership. Oh my god, I was getting a car!!! I squealed like a little girl as my mom and Tammy grinned at me. &#034What's going on? You think you're getting something here?&#034 my dad called back from the front seat. I just sat up straight and grinned like a k** at Christmas. He stopped the SUV by the door and we went in to where a salesman was waiting, Being it was a Sunday evening I was surprised to see they were open but then it became apparent we were the only ones there so my dad must have arranged something special with the guy. ...
    &#034So you're the new grad. Congratulations!&#034 he said as he offered to shake my hand. I was practically shivering now with excitement, wondering what was coming next. I had a pretty good guess going but I couldn't believe it could possibly come true. &#034Follow me, it's all ready for you.&#034 Nervously we followed him back to the service area. There in front of me was the most perfect car in the world – MINE! It was a bright red Saturn Ion, just the right size for me, with a big red bow in the roof and a sign that read, &#034Congratulations Kelly!&#034. The salesman handed me the keys with a grin. &#034I think these are yours young lady.&#034 I grabbed them and then turned to hug my dad! I kissed him on the cheek and hugged him again. God, what an incredible father! &#034Check out your new car before you break my neck,&#034 he chuckled. The salesman tried to point out the features but I don't remember a word he said. It smelled so new and all I could think about was that it was MINE! Apparently my dad had already signed all the papers the day before so I was free to drive it home. My mom and Tammy rode back with me as my dad had to bring the SUV. I don't ever remember being so excited driving a car before! Back home I pulled it into the garage and waited for my dad to join us. Once again I hugged him and this time, since there wasn't a nosey salesman around, I kissed him the way a daughter should kiss her father - a full kiss on the mouth, tongue and all! &#034Mmmmmmm, now ...
