    Donna had called, Becca, my wife to report that the showerhead in her shower had fallen off. Becca quickly dispatched me next door to help fix the issue, because I was such a great handyman. I knew instinctively, before I even showed up next door, what the real deal problem was. Donna’s husband was gone on an extended business trip and Donna was wanting more than her shower knob fixed. I knocked on the door. I could see Donna approaching, wrapped in a terry-cloth towel, her hair dripping wet. Donna opened the front door and smiled. “The shower is still on and this happens,” she remarked, holding out her hand, and showing me the shower knob. Donna didn’t have a clue as to what I was talking about, so I did my best to explain to her what a set screw was and how it held the shower knob in place.     turn the water on and off,” I replied. “Do you have one?” Becca asked. “I think I do, but if not, I know that Home Depot does,” I replied. I rummaged through my screw box and found several screws hat I was sure would do the job. I rushed back next door, screw driver and set screws in hand. None of them worked. I looked at Donna and apologized. I headed out to the outside meter and shut off the water to the house, as Donna rummaged through her refrigerator. I stepped back in and explained that the water would have to stay off for the evening, since the hardware store was probably already closed. Donna was not too pleased. “How do I cook with no water?” she asked. I took a deep breath and called Becca. “Donna is coming for dinner,” I told Becca, explaining the predicament. Becca was perfectly fine with the invitation. Donna gave me a hug and thanked me for the kindness. “I don’t know how to repay you,” she remarked. “I’m sure you’ll come up with something,” I replied, proffering a wink. I retreated back to the house. Donna came over after about an hour.. The three of us sat and enjoyed a nice dinner together on our patio.
