    I grew up in Stage, Texas where football is king. Texan high-school football games are almost a religious rite, a cultural custom so ingrained that everything stops on Friday nights except for the three hours at every school playing field. I saw Sam Bolton and Bull Smith from the other team coming through my defenses with a definite goal in their eyes, they were going to end this game on this play. Just as they broke into an open field run at me from both sides I saw an arm go up far down field.
