eye contact with the girl, but she walked swiftly to the back of the opposite side of the room and disappeared behind a dark door. Taylor wasn’t unpopular in high school, but he blended into the crowd. He admired the hot, popular girls just as much as the next guy, but he never felt as though he’d have a chance with them, so he never really tried. Besides, he had other interests than just trying to get with the same “top 10” pretty much every other dude was trying to score with. Instead of spending time competing with other guys, he preferred to play guitar with his close group of friends and attended the occasional party.
