she knew that she didn't want to go through another day like today! Julie was exhausted and just drifting off to sleep when she heard a low rumbling sound that started off very faint, but seemed to vibrate the very air around her as it got nearer and nearer. She couldn't place the sound, but could feel the vibrations and she sat up in the car and began to look around thinking there were a couple big trucks coming her way. Maybe she could get a ride from one of them. She got out of her car and was standing next to it ready to flag down a driver when she saw in the distance the source of the rumbling. At first it was hard to make out - the heat made objects in the distance seem to shimmer and being able to see details was impossible. But as the noise grew and the black specks got closer, she could see what was coming her way. Julie stood awestruck as a group of the toughest, rowdiest bikers she had ever seen rode past her. There must have been a dozen of them, riding two abreast down the road on very loud bikes. A few of them glanced at her as they passed by, but they kept on moving. Julie was a bit relieved that they passed by her - some of the bikers in the group looked pretty unsavory! They continued down the road and out of sight and Julie got back in her car to wait again. A couple minutes later though, she heard the same rumble starting again. This time the sound was coming from the other direction and she watched as the same group of outlaw bikers came back down the road ...

He kicked out the bikes kickstand and leaned the bike onto it, getting off the seat slowly. With the rest of the bikers watching, he walked up to Julie's car window and tapped on the glass. Julie rolled the window down a couple inches, intimidated by these ruffians but also smart enough not to do anything to aggravate them. "You seem to have a bit of a problem," the biker said. "Yes, my car just stopped. But it's okay, I've called the auto club - they are sending someone out to help me," she said nervously. "Lady, we've rode this highway several times before. We know this is a dead spot for cell phones and no one can make calls for miles around here. Now, do you want some help or not?" the biker said. "I'm sorry," she said, embarrassed that she had been caught in a fib, "Yes, that would be nice. Thank you." He turned to one of the other bikers. "Tink, come take a look at this car," he said. Julie watched as another of the bikers came up and walked past her to the front of the car. He took a look under that hood for a few moments and then came back to the first biker. "The top radiator hose is split and most of her antifreeze is all over the ground. On top of that her main fan belt is just about shot. If the hose hadn't busted, the belt would have. She's not going anywhere for awhile." "Oh no! I can't just leave my car ...
