Purposed Changes to the sub

Some of you may have noticed the sub was recently marked NSFW. When I became moderator here the sub had already been set-up as SFW and it had been that way for years. These changes were not my choice, but I really can't argue as currently 99% of our posts are NSFW.I'd like to unmark the sub NSFW and make individual users mark their own posts NSFW. (I will go through and mark all the existing posts NSFW) The primary reason for this would be to allow the sub to be found by the entire Internet rather than just existing Reddit users. However, If we do that we need to have some SFW content and here is how I purpose we do that.1. Allow authors to post links to their Amazon books. (There would be specific rules about how frequently one could do this.) Amazon doesn't allow sexually explicit images or descriptions on their erotic fiction books so people wouldn't be able to see NSFW content by clicking on the link. Links to your stories on Amazon would also have to contain SFW language in your title here otherwise you would have to mark it NSFW.2. Create self-help posts that teach developing authors how to self-publish and other developmental SFW posts.I think together these two additions would allow us to have at least 50% of our content as SFW, and is actually consistent with what my long term vision of the sub is. I always saw this sub as a place where writers of original works could hone their skills and get their work seen before they were ready to self-publish. People of course ... could continue to post sex stories here as they have in the past, but they would have to mark those NSFW.Some of the larger problems with the sub regardless if we make changes to it or not:People keep posting stolen work. That is they find a story on say Literotica, paste it to their blog, and then come here posing as the original author posting the link to their blog. If you like a story on Literotica or some other site then post the link directly from there. Putting the story on your blog adds no value to it, it is intellectual property theft and I have had more than one original author complain about it.People see this sub as a traffic harvesting sub. I'd say 60% of our submissions or more fall under this category. How do I know they are doing this? Typically their stories are cut and pasted from someplace else, but often times they just come out and tell me. Here are three of the more notorious incidents:A few months ago someone demanded three accounts here (like I could even do that) and that I ride all their posts through the spam filter because they said they were "entitled" to the traffic. They were just cutting and pasting stories from Literotica. When I refused, they issued numerous threats against me personally. If you ever wondered why I put a word count on stories, it was because I had a guy tell me his business plan was to buy $5 500 word stories from fiverr and post them here. He told me if they were more than 500 words his business model would fail because the ...
