clothing for him and Rus. Removing his armor he layered himself with the leather clothes. For Rus he made a sweater with little holes for his legs. Getting him in said sweater was a battle in of itself. The German shepherd grumbled trotting to the cart avoiding his owner. Lighting a fire Veritas busied himself with dinner. He first prepared a pot of boiling water; chopping some fox meat he tossed it in. Then, cutting vegetables, he added it to the pot. Stirring the stew he felt the little pup climbing on his lap. Cool air caressed his hair while he watched numerous stars dazzling the night sky. To help pass time he organized his inventory. Looking at Poutos’ urn, he stared at two strange markings. The markings didn’t have any specific design. It was if they were pieces of a puzzle. With dawn approaching, he began ascending mount Ktchum. Pulling a cart up a mountain, he found out was very hard work. Thankfully he found a path large enough easing his travel. The climb was mostly peaceful; he wished more mobs would attack since he’d get double the experience. At dusk he finally saw white patches on the ground. “Snow,” he whispered. Parking the cart he ran, kneeling he grab the white substance. It felt like cold sand, wet to the touch. Rus, on his shoulder, jumped down to analyze this foreign matter. lowering himself he growled at it. Seeing no response, he again touched it with his paw, this time retracting it quickly as if awaiting a sudden attack. When none came his confidence grew, he rested his paw for a few seconds. He turned to Veritas barking announcing to him that this white thing was safe to the touch. “Rus this is called snow,” he chuckled at the pup’s confused reaction. Setting up camp the night passed quickly. Continuing the climb, patches of snow became more numerous until the ground was covered in a white sheet. Rus went down the snow covered the lower half of his body. For the remainder of the afternoon they both played around, they built snowmen, made snow angels. Veritas wondered if snow in real life would have that same fluffy texture. Or how it made the air feel so fresh and clean. When his euphoria ended, he tried to light a fire; however, this became difficult, because of the conditions. After multiple tries he succeeded, he made soup, which would help against the cold. As the night wore on the wind started picking up, at first it was a breeze. Veritas and Rus were under prepared to face this harsh weather. Rus curled inside his coat shaking furiously. Winter in sunny South Florida didn’t prepare him for this. -Ding- Taking frost dmg (-50)% Stamina (-30)% Agility -Ding- Your beast is taking frost dmg (-25)% Stamina (-15)% Agility Try as he might he couldn’t restart the fire. Adding insult to injury a pack of level 84 Dire Wolves attacked. Rus’ forced ...
