I was driving along this country lane when I saw this Monk walking the same way. I stopped the car and asked him if I could give him a lift. He said bless you my son but if you have the time I'm heading to the old Monastery over the hill. I said I thought it was not used anymore and was deserted, he replied as he got into my car that I was right, but he was the caretaker, and lived in it alone, and that he'd been into town to order some timber for repairs that need to be done. As we drove he asked me about my self and I told him all he wanted to know, I also told him that I'd like to see inside the Monastery, as Id driven past it many times before. He said if I had the time he would love to show me around, I smiled at him saying I'd enjoy that, as we arrived at the gates. John showed me where to park the car and we walked into the rather old derelict place. John lead me to his quarters on the way telling me the history of the place. We came to an area which he explained was in the old days a place where younger novices entertained the older monks. He smiled at me, as I said blushing, what sort of entertaining did the older monks enjoy, knowingly exactly what he meant.
