There are moments engineered by things beyond us, there's no other shape I want to be near, no other form I want to know all of me. Earlier in the dark falling snow, it was almost like soaring through stars, it all makes a pattern I can almost decode, assemble to see secrets always moving just underneath every living surface. In tangling bones, in the muscles they cage, in every clavicle and crest, I may know what makes you. The rhythm of your breathing, a hymn played against my skin, hair spilled in silk waves over your temples, one touch could shatter such absolute stillness. I want to just stay close and motionless. In the hollows of your lungs, I can hear all warm spaces, the churn and endless flow of oxygen, just breathe me in as you sleep. I'll be a gentle hush deep inside you and won't need to pass my secrets along with words, ink, or lyrics. I'll engineer within you hymns beyond us that take shape as you exhale, rewrite them when you pull me back in, no other form will know me as entirely as you do. Earlier in the dark sprawling sky, I could almost read your name patched together by the glow of every single star, you make a pattern I can almost decode, assemble to see the secrets flowing just beneath your skin. In parallel veins, in the crimson they carry, in every cell and synapse, I may know what makes you. The ritual of your breathing, a hymn storming against my skin, shaking this entire fragile temple, one touch could obliterate such a perfect snapshot. I just want to stay close and motionless. In the warm hollows of your lungs, the churn and cycle of breathing me in, of releasing what's left. a part of me stays fused with you, a gentle hush stilling you without words.
